Think globally, act locally has been the mantra for those seeking a transition to a more sustainable way of life for many years.
Transition Bridgetown is a group of committed locals putting that ideal to work promoting the sort of positive changes needed to boost sustainability and resilience in the community.
It reaches out to our schools, local groups and businesses to find solutions to problems in an effort to tread more lightly on the planet.
On Sunday July 26 from 4.30 to 6.30pm it will be holding an Open Space gathering at The Cidery to inform, inspire and share ideas on how we can all support our community.
Three short films will be shown, and the focus will be on small groups. Prepare to be surprised!
Transition Bridgetown is part of a global movement with a local focus on cooperation to create more liveable communities.
It’s active in towns, villages, cities, universities and schools world-wide and is driven by a desire to reduce resource use, promote inclusivity and social justice, empower communities and share ideas.
