There’s a new medical centre destined for Bridgetown, but who’s behind it and when and where it’s opening remains a mystery.
Rumours about a new medical centre associated with a group of Manjimup Drs have been circulating in Bridgetown for some time, but none of Manjimup’s medical practices said they were planning to set up in Bridgetown when contacted by the Bridgetown Star.
Bridgetown’s existing medical practice also knows nothing about the new practice.
However, the “Ruby Medical Centre” has been advertising for a medical receptionist for its new medical practice in Bridgetown through seek.com.au and other job sites.
The advertisement has no indication of where or when the new practice will be starting and has no contact details for the Ruby Medical Centre, which also has no website.
A search on the ASIC website reveals that the holder of the business name is Vaidya Narayana Pty Ltd, a business who’s been active since June 2020 and whose principal place of business is listed as a house in Wattle Crescent, Manjimup.
One rumoured location for the new centre is the former Commonwealth Bank building, which is currently vacant.
There are currently long waiting times to see a Dr at Bridgetown’s existing medical practice, with many Bridgetown residents travelling to Manjimup for GP consultations.
