As part of the 15th annual PANDA Week (Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia), the Child Health Committee will be hosting a Pram Walk on Thursday 12th November from 9:30 – 11:30am.
The committee has organized self-care activities of manicures and massages and there will be a catered morning tea available. Local Child Health Nurse Karen Gurry will be in attendance, along with representatives from Accordwest and the Department of Health’s Mental Health Team.
A local midwife will also be on hand to answer questions and local mums will share their experiences of Post Natal Depression, in accordance with this year’s PANDA theme “Tell someone who cares”. All family members are welcome to attend the morning and prams are not essential.
The group will meet at the Bridgetown Library carpark from 9:30am and walk around Somme’s Creek and down to the Bridgetown Family & Community Centre – where the event will take place. We hope to see you there! Written by: Cassandra McCredden; President, Child Health Committee.
